The hotel had a mix of positives and negatives. The rooms, albeit spacious with nice artwork above the bed, needed redecoration and had an old smell. However, the staff were exceptional from check-in to check-out. The service was excellent overall, although lacking knowledge at times. The location was ideal, being close to St Mark's Square and offering a beautiful view of the Grand Canal, despite some tightness in the surroundings. Dining was good with room for improvement, especially with the coffee quality.

The hotel offers luxurious and well-cared-for rooms with sumptuous linen for a good night's sleep, despite the lack of a view and facing a noisy alley for early deliveries. The service is incredibly friendly, though influenced by outside interests. Its location is perfect for exploring the city, especially for premium shopping, with some drawbacks in the views. The dining experience, while highly recommended, may have some consistency issues. Overall, a clean, comfortable stay with friendly staff in a great location, but with a few minor drawbacks to consider.

Staying on the 7th floor of the old Palazzo with breathtaking views of the Grand Canal and Santa Maria Salute was a remarkable experience. The rooms, although classic in style, were well-appointed with 2 verandas. However, the small dark bathroom was a downside. The service, led by the exceptional Marco at the concierge desk, was incredibly helpful, always ready to assist guests to ensure they enjoy their time in Venice.
